Booking Information
How to Book.
On receipt of your booking enquiry using the online booking form, we will contact you to take a provisional booking. On receipt of your deposit payment (or full amount) within 7 days (10 days if booking from outside the UK) we will confirm your booking and provide a receipt together with holiday information, what to bring and details of how to reach your accommodation.
Deposit and Balance.
Please send a deposit of £60 per person. If your choice is unavailable or the holiday is cancelled this will be refunded. Your balance payment should reach us no less than six weeks before the start of your holiday.
Payment.
Cheques should be made payable to Border Outdoor Pursuits Limited Trust Account. Overseas guests can pay by sterling bank draft (British Pounds) or electronic funds transfer - details on application.
Security of Payments.
Your money is held in a Trust Account and released to Border Outdoor Pursuits only on completion of your holiday. This complies with the E.C Package Travel Directive of 1993 to protect your money in the instance of insolvency.
Cancellation by You.
If you have to cancel please tell us as soon as possible. We will refund your balance if we can fill your place. If this is not possible then this schedule will apply from the date you notified us:
Cost Structure
- More than 42 days before:
- 100% of the balance returned
- 42 to 29 days before:
- 75% of the balance returned
- 28 to 15 days before
- 50% of the balance returned
- 14 to 7 days before:
- 25% of the balance returned
- 6 days or less before
- Nil
Cancellation by Us
If we have to cancel your holiday then we will inform you of this as early as possible. You will have the option to transfer to another holiday or we will refund your deposit and balance in full.
Insurance.
Personal holiday insurance to cover illness, injury, personal belongings and cancellation is recommended. You are advised to take out a policy particular to mountain walking and its associated risks.
Safety.
All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure your safety and guests agree to abide by the decisions of the walk leader. However, Border Outdoor Pursuits cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property or death or injury whilst partaking in any organized event. We cannot accept bookings for any person under the age of 18 unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Activities. We reserve the right to change activities, guides or itineraries in the light of prevailing weather, driving conditions or other safety reasons.
