The Border between Scotland & England is an area rich in history and abundant in wildlife; your guides will enrich your experience with tales from the debatable lands and the infamous Border Reivers.
A few miles North of the Lake District, the moorlands and valleys between Langholm, Newcastleton and Hawick form a unique landscape and have been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with SSSI status. Teeming with flora & fauna the area is a living legacy of a turbulent, passionate past. Today the area is a tranquil haven for all kinds of outdoor pursuits, but 500 years ago, the sound of steel would have echoed, as Border Reivers came thundering through the night.
